We are excited to announce the arrival of our new show lodge the bespoke Pathfinder Holicombe which will be available to view at Raywell Country Lodge Park from the 6th June 2011.

 Holicombe Lodge (42 x 14ft) A contemporary lodge which is set apart by its wide range of unique, luxurious features, The Holicombe is a beautifully finished home, ideal for relaxing retirement or holiday living.  Full height panoramic windows and French doors flood the living area with natural light which has a fine quality ‘L’ shaped sofa and solid oak furniture.  The Holicombe’s galley kitchen is a dream for keen cooks, with high gloss modern units, Granite worktops and built-in appliances.

Everything about the Holicombe exudes a real sense of space and luxury.  The two bedrooms are fully fitted with stylish co-ordinated bed linen, headboards and curtains with a fully tiled shower room leading off of the master suite.  Outside the extended roof gives the exterior of the Holicombe real depth, which is finished in low maintenance canexel or traditional log cladding.

Linda Barker meets the Raywell Staff at Find a Property Event

Raywell staff were on hand to meet and greet interested parties and promote our award winning Park throughout the two day event. It was great to see so many people showing a keen interest in what we have to offer and it was a pleasure to meet and make many new friends including Celebrity Property Expert Linda Barker, pictured here with our Sales executive Lesley Henderson.

Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park Awarded the David Bellamy Conservation Award 2010

Following our recent assessment for the David Bellamy Conservation Award 2010, Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the silver accolade. It is the first time that the park has been entered for this award and it is a very rare achievement for a first time applicant to achieve such a high rating.

Not resting on out laurels, the team will be working hard over the next 12 months to improve the rating when reassessed next year as we continue to make a positive environmental impact.

Raywell Hall Country Lodges Open Day 2010

The Park will be open from 11am until 4pm for you to view the last remaining plots on the first phase and our show lodge will be open to view. Reservations placed over the open weekend will include either 1 years service charge (worth £2420) or a garden shed colour matched to your lodge (worth £2300).

Sponsored Walk in aid of Parkinson’s Disease

Arrival Times: Between 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Quintor Homes are hosting a sponsored walk to be held at Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park. To take part in this event all you need is to make a donation, the proceeds to go to the Parkinson’s disease Society, wear some suitable footwear for walking and suitable clothing (in case of adverse weather conditions)

The Walk: Commences at one of our luxury lodges, carries on through the lodge park and into “Nut Wood” (look out for the deer and hedgehogs!) After the picnic area the route proceed through gates crossing the road, up Waudby Green hill and round bluebell wood. The walk then continues back down Waudby Green and back into the picnic area (you may see our greater spotted woodpeckers or squirrels). The route then continues on climbing some steps then back up the hill through the park to the management building for refreshments. In all approximately 2 miles of moderate walking over footpaths, styles and some steps, approximately 1½ to 2 hours. Dogs are welcome as long as any “little accidents” are cleared up.

We will be holding a raffle where the lucky winner can stay for two nights in one of our luxury Pinelog holiday homes. Imagine sipping champagne sat in the hot tub enjoying the sound of the countryside and watching the wildlife in the woodland at the foot of the decking. Tickets are £2.00 each and again all proceeds will again be donated to the Parkinson’s disease Society.

Opportunity to snap up an investment you can ‘Love to let’

Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park has announced a new scheme which will offer informed investors and budding lodge owners the chance to acquire an asset which they can also enjoy.

The new ‘Love to let’ scheme gives potential lodge owners the opportunity to invest in a luxury holiday lodge which they will be able to let out to visitors coming to the region for holiday breaks. When owners are not enjoying lodge living themselves they can sit happy in the knowledge that their lodge is earning them a great rental income.

Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park is so confident of the investment, that they are offering a minimum rental income guarantee.

This new scheme comes at a time when more and more British holiday makers are choosing to holiday in the UK. Whether fuelled by the credit crunch or the desire to enjoy a more environmentally friendly holiday there is no hiding away from the statistics. The Camping and Caravanning Club, which represents 1,400 sites, said advance bookings were already up 10 per cent on last summer, whilst Hoseasons, the UK’s leading self-catering holiday specialist has reported a 7-10 per cent increase in bookings compared with the same time last year.

Phil Mackay, director at Raywell Lodge Park said: “Our lodges are a great way for people from across the region to make a sound investment which they can also use to relax and unwind. We are hoping the new scheme will help to raise awareness of the upsurge in demand for a great British holiday and the short breaks in the region.

Local lodge park welcomes new residents

Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park has just welcomed its newest residents. Mr and Mrs Roundell this week collected the keys to their new “Tarragon” lodge – the biggest on the park.

The couple from Harrogate first discovered the lodge park based on the grounds of Raywell House, the former 19th century manor house on one of Mr Roundell’s business trips and fell in love with the location.

Mr Roundell said: “I spent a number of years working for a kitchen manufacturer which took me all over Yorkshire. I visited Hull, Beverley and the surrounding villages on a number of occasions and became quite familiar with the area. My wife and I are both delighted to be picking up the keys and we cannot wait to spend time here, the park is stunning and our new lodge is just as we imagined it.”

The trend for holiday homes in the UK continues to grow with the caravan council estimating that there are 335,000 holiday homes currently in use in the UK. Their research shows that the overriding reason that people love this type of holiday is because it ‘represents freedom’ and gives people an opportunity to ‘meet likeminded people’ and ‘enjoy the outdoors’.

When the park opened it was initially only open lodge sales. Recent developments have included the launch of a buy to let scheme, and a move into the hire market. The later enables visitors to enjoy a short break at the holiday park without the commitment of purchasing a lodge.
